Pan

For Tania Paola, the texts  You Don't Love Yourself by Nathalie Sarraute and James Barrie's characters in Peter Pan are to be viewed in parallel. Through her analysis, it has  become clear that both works talk about the same thing: the fear of aging. Nathalie Sarraute is, in a sense, observing the body, its evolution, its change and, sometimes, its unease. If I were someone else? In another body?

James Barrie is, meanwhile, in the refusal to see one's body grow. One will tame his desire, the other will analyze it! What a need for love and what imagination for all these confused characters!

Nathalie Sarraute addresses several personalities merged into one. While James Barrie presents the double personalities  hidden in each of his characters...

The two authors develop the dream of being loved for the child within each of us and thus deal with the fear of disappearing, or appearing. Tania Paola draws from these two works, the text of You Don't Love Yourself and the psychology of Peter Pan. The god Pan should be grateful!
