In the Garden of the Fat Lady

The very strange circumstances surrounding the creation of the Requiem, the presence of a messenger one would think came from the beyond, give this episode in the life of Mozart a singularly dramatic character, that we know to be inevitable, whereas, if frees, for one last time, in one of the most powerful pieces of music that has existed, the best of his creative powers.

The emphasis here is intentional: Tania Paola deliberately matches the music of paroxysm with extreme visions, between the grotesque and the ridiculous, imposed by the characters of Botéro. The result is a performance rich in contrasts and oppositions,  manners of dance of life and death, in the image of our own passions.
