Salad of Women

"Dear Maid,

Please do not leave the little bars of soap in my hotel bathroom, as I have brought my own family Palmolive. Please remove the six unopened little bars from the shelf and the three that are in the soap dish? They are in my way. Thank you. (Signed: S. Berman)

Dear Room 635,

I am not your regular maid. She will be back tomorrow, Thursday, after her day off. I have removed the three soap bars from the soap dish as you requested. I removed the six bars on your shelf so that they won't bother you anymore, and I put them on the Kleenex dispenser in case you change your mind. There are only the three bars that I left today which are in keeping with my instructions to deposit three soaps daily. I hope this will suit you. (Signed: Kathy, substitute maid)

Dear Maid,

I hope you are my regular maid. Apparently, Kathy did not tell you about my message concerning the soap. Upon arriving last night I saw you had placed three small Camay on my shelf. I will be staying at the hotel for two weeks and have brought my own family Palmolive, so I will not need the six Camay that are on the shelf. These soaps are in my way when I shave or brush my teeth. Could you remove them? (S. Berman) "
